Sup!
Just got my new Gskill 2gb 1000mhz sticks to replace my old rendition 667. The 667 bottlenecked my CPU OC as they could not go over 715mhz and ratios could not be lower than 2 on my P35-DS3P.
Now, with my new ram, I can hit 4ghz , but I have to set my vcore to ~1.518V. It oscillates to 1.54V but does not seem to pass 1.55V. How dangerous would it be? From what I have been able to gather, 1.55V is the MAX voltage a quad should get.
I can also get 3.8Ghz (425) with 1.45V, which seems to be the sweet spot IMO, but i'm interested in your opinions :)
Looking at the OC charts, I see people with 1.6V. Is anyone here actually running 24/7 with such high voltage (>1.49V)?
Thanks! =============
well, you should probably post what your cooling method is and what your current temps are. =============
