Projectors have DVI connections so you can hook them up to a PC.
The screen size might be extra big
It looks neat though this guy has a 360 hooked up in his Garage.
The clarity looks amazing which is something I was worried about.
Has anyone tried this??

sure...I've used it on and off for about 6 years on multiple projectors.
I wouldn't want to do it personally. I have the ability and have had the ability but a projector with text is NEVER as clear as a monitor. For videos, for games it's fantastic. But realize most of the time you spend on your PC is internet surfing probably and it's not so great for that. Blacks and shadows aren't as good as a monitor. HardForum for instance on my $2800 MSRP HD projector has less shades of black than you'll notice on a monitor.
Fantastic for gaming/videos --- not so great for desktop.
There's a very good reason I watch movies on my projector and play xbox360/ps3 on my projector, but keep my quad core gaming system hooked up to my 24" LCD.
I have a HP slimline HTPC attached to the projector and use that casually at any time....but if you have the choice and only want the display to be your primary computer monitor go for a big 8bit LCD monitor., =============
