dell 3007wfp hc a02 buzzing Noise

I have a dell 30WFP-HC that was purchased on June 20th, and now I'm getting a buzzing noise whenever the monitor is at its maxed brightness, as I lower brightness the buzzing noise gets lower and lower but it seems to still be there. But this is the first time I've had the monitor on max brightness where its really audible and annoying Can this get replaced by dell? Or is it possible to have it upgraded to a 3008WFP if this problem keeps happening?
=============
I have the same problem.. doesn't go away.. been through three refurb units until I finally got one that has the noise but is minimized as best as I have heard

So do you just keep it at a lower brightness level? I know it's still there but its managable to say the least.....
=============
Just bumping to see if any other 3007wfp-hc users have this problem. I've had two different Dell CSRs tell me different things. One says its most defintely a defect, and the other says its a known issue and there is no fix for it. He even states, "some people hear it, some people don't."
=============
Mine does this as well but only for about 20 minutes and then once it warms up the buzzing sound goes away.
=============
I just dont pay attention to it anymore... Its liveable but like I said.. Had to go through a few units before I got one I was happy with... It is a known defect and dell won't upgrade you.. They only send refurb units unless you are within the first 30 days or 2 weeks or whatever their policy is.. I have been there and tried that already... They wouldn't even give me a new 3007... Just refurbs
=============
Same here. There is no fix for it according to Dell and they will not replace it with the Dell 3008. At max brightness the buzzing noise is very audible. At 70% brightness, it's not audible.

Many monitors have various sound problems, surprisingly reviewers usually don't report them :(
=============
I haven't noticed anything, but I keep the brightness at a fairly low level.
=============
Do the reviewers just not hear it or what? I mean I didn't hear mine till maybe like 10-15 days later. o_O? Any of the [H] reviewers who own any of these screens have any issues?

If Dell really has no fix for this, I might just return it and buy the 3008WFP. Once you go 30', you don't go back ;)
=============
the 3008 has its own set of issues

Any huge glaring issues I should be aware of? Reviewers gave it amazing reviews aside from its high price.

Reviews are often done in (loud) offices and fairly quickly, just do some tests, brightness, input-lag, color uniformity, that way, mostly technical with a calibrator.
If a reviewer wants to do his job well, he should take the monitor at home and work with it for a few days. Which is not usually done, because who would want to switch his super hand picked model for a crappy new screen? :)

Can you describe this noise? And are all 3007-HC's affected, makes me have second thoughts :(
=============
This concerns me, I finally ordered a new 3007 a little over a week ago, since I read bad things (backlight bleed / input lag) about the 3008 and had no use for the extra inputs. Still waiting for my delivery and am wondering what I can do to test it when it arrives to ensure I could get it replaced within the return policy,

I'm currently running a Sony FW900 with a brightness of about 20, and max contrast, I guess I assumed that's the way I'd like the 3007 setup as well. Never would have thought to crank the brightness and just listen for noise.

I sure hope I didn't make a mistake in dropping $1250 for this monitor.
=============
My gatway 24" made a constant loud buzzing when I first got it. It was really annoying.

Now the sound has disappeared completely though, at all brightness settings. I've had it for at least a year, maybe two. I forget.

I got so upset with the sound that I would gently shake the monitor. Sometimes that made the buzz less noisy. Plus it made me feel better :p
=============
I have had the 3007wfp-hc for almost a year. No buzz at any brightness. And I have to say, best piece of hardware you'll ever own (OK I am exaggerating ).

But yeah, it does project heat like someone said above.
=============
I'm gonna get this when the price drops.

3008 = high input lag and inputs I don't need

Bad thing about the 3007 is that it has no hardware scaler. So when I scale down under native res when gaming, it'll look slightly fuzzy.

Why do you mean by this? It has no internal interpolation?
=============
Why do you mean by this? It has no internal interpolation?

The monitor has no scaler, so the monitor can only do 2-3 resolutions by itself. Anything else you're gonna have to let the videocard do it, which impacts image quality.
