Would it be a bad idea if I where to use a 42" 1080p LCD TV as a computer monitor? I would use it mainly to watch movies, play video game and surf the net. Do I need a good graphics card? Or should i just purchase a 22" LCD Monitor? =============
I was trying to do the opposite and ran into problems with HDMI compliancy issues. Given that its 1080 the resolution should be pretty good but damn thats huge to do internet browsing. Assuming you already own the tv, why not try it. If you dont like it you can then get the 22". =============
I actually own a 32" 1080i. I was going to upgrade, since there are no DVI Inputs on my current TV. The TV does have HDMI inputs, would I be able to use a DVI to HDMI cable? =============
Yes, You will just have to run the pc audio separately b/c dvi does not ouput audio. Not sure if your tv will have an audio in on the same input channel as your hdmi so you may not be able to hear the pc sound through your tv speakers.
Also many new hdtvs have vga input. =============
