I had it in my cart last week and I swear it was about $1189. I hadn't had a chance to actually buy it and just went back to the site today to place my order and it says the item was removed from my cart because of some problem. I browse to the monitors section and see that it is now listed at $1289.

Anyone know why the price increase? I see other resellers still listing it around $1100. Did NEC do some sort of upgrade? $1289 seems way higher than what others are selling it for.

I see some listed as WUXi-BK and some as WUXi-BK-SV. I assume that has to do with the price difference? What's the difference between those two?

Newegg pricing is based on supply and demand, if they only have a few left then the price will increase.

I can't say why it went up, but I will say that Newegg is the wrong place to buy an LCD. Why; because they will not accept returns at all. Try Dell.com Amazon.com or Crutchfields.com, Costco.com is good too, but they do not carry NEC..

I have noticed that Newegg is no longer the low-price leader they once were. Amazon seems to have better pricing and a 30 day return policy on everything as long as your buying it from them directly. Don't go for their afilliate vendors without checking their policies. They are usually lower prices, but no returns.

Look arround and you will find the deal you want. Make sure that you can return it tho, these things are way too expensive to get stuck with a lemmon.

Good luck

Dave

Actually, I'm wondering now if "SV" stands for Spectraview and the one I saw before didn't come with Spectraview, but now they only have the model that comes with it?

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably order form someone else.
