I'd like to think I'm getting a monitor to last me a while so I'm trying to do my research. It seems the DoubleSight DS-263N is among the best buys out there, but I noticed it has no HDMI. I'd like to use this for PC Photoshopping, PC Gaming, Blu-Ray (PS3), Xbox 360, and maybe Digital Cable, HDTV... whatever.
So, would I be fine using and HDMI to DVI converter? Or should I consider a different monitor? (Like a Planar?)
/edit:
also, does the DoubleSight have a matte or a glossy finish? =============
I'm not sure you can get a 263N any more new. Most are likely open boxes from people that have returned them due to the lack of the AT-W polarizer.
However the 265 is out soon and it's supposed to have HDMI.

Ah man! Why didn't I figure this out last night?
Well, I placed my order through NewEgg last night because I was tired of researching and waiting and I thought, "It's time to just buy it."
I thought the only new DoubleSight coming out was the 30" version. =============
This monitor comes with a HDMI to DVI cable. I still need to get a solution for sound before I can hook up my PS3 to it.
That said, people have been reporting problems getting a reliable connection sometimes. I have not tried it yet either, I will when I can find an optical cable to connect the PS3 to my Striker Extreme mobo.
edit: It has a matte finish, by the way. I like it that way, my old CRT was a victim of glare from a nearby sunny window. =============
