Well I went looking online for monitors and there are alot of them available.I am currently on a 17inch lcd ws display and I need a bigger picture.
The problem is that I have a 8800gt now and I want to take some of the load off of my cpu.At what res does the cpu get a break and the video card starts to get a good load on it?I play cod4,crysis,bioshock,and lost planet.I get some good dips now playing at 1280x768 so I am sure that a new card may be needed at a higher res or that there is just so much of a load on my cpu that it can;t keep up.
Anyways I have $500 to spend the lower the better on a video card and a monitor unless I can keep my 8800gt and just get a new monitor I don't know. =============
Your CPU doesn't get a break at higher resolutions, it's doing the same amount of work but I don't think you'll have a problem with your CPU.
On to your question, I think your GPU and CPU should be fine for something like a 22" monitor. =============
You can have a 24" monitor and play at a lower resolution. But if you don't do much "office" work, 22" TN is also OK. Just something with a lowe input lag. =============
well can I get suggestions on a 22inch and a 24inch?The cheaper the better but I dont want junk.Tell me what to get please. Also with a 24inch lcd what video card do you suggest the 8800gts or 9800gtx? =============
24" BenQ G2400WD :)
I have 8800GT and have no problem playing strategy games and RPGs. SOmetimes I only have to tone down shadows. So first buy monitor, GFX card later and just choose what is more cost efficient. That would be 9800GTX now (probably). =============
