I have a $200 gift card for Dell and am planning on putting it towards a monitor to be used with my M1330. It'd be used mostly for web browsing, school work, watching videos, console gaming, etc. I do not plan to do much intensive graphics work. I'd be willing to toss in an extra $100-$200 if the difference in quality is worth the additional cash.
I don't know much about this area of technology so I'm open to all suggestions. I was originally looking at 20 - 22 inchers, but after running across the 248WFP it is the front runner. The prospect of the larger screen and 1080p capability is just too tempting when it doesn't cost much more than the smaller models at only $379.
Does anyone have any experience with this monitor? Is the bigger size/HD worth the extra chedder? Does the fact that it is 6-bit with a TN panel negate the benefits?
Please keep in mind that it must be available on www.dell.com as I am using a Dell gift card.
Sorry about all the questions and thanks for any help! =============
Also, would my M1330 have any trouble with running the Dell E248? It has the GeForce 8400M GS video card. =============
bump
any feedback would be appreciated =============
