i'm trying to find a suitable screen for multimedia purposes (web, movies, light gaming)
the thing is there are so many and the information is confusing.
a couple of days ago i tried to work with my fathers acer L19xx wide...but it had a horrible color reproduction...i spent around half an hour tweaking it to get the color levels i had on my old sony crt screen.
1680*1050 resolution is a must!!!
so the main two things i'm hoping to find are a good color reproduction (gamut) and low ghosting effect.
i'm willing to compromise the size to 19" wide if it holds to the requirements above
some models i'm considering:
LG l207wt
dell e207wfp
Samsung 20 2053BW
any other models are welcome
thanks =============
someone yesterday (in another thread) suggested the lp2065. I don't know
if it meets any of your requirements but probably worth
checking... =============
I was in your position not too long ago.
I was persuaded into getting a Dell 2007WFP.
I was reluctant to spend $400 or so on a 20", but I've been so glad that I have :)
I've been extremely pleased with it :)
It's color reproduction and viewing angles are great, I do a lot of web design, graphic design, photo editing, and professional-grade large-format printing.
And it's response time, brightness, and contrast are good enough to fire up Halo3 on it through VGA for a couple hours a day and watch a couple movies via HD-DVD.
And of course it's 1680x1050
It's built quite fantastically, it's a higher-end Dell, so the stand is badass. I often use it in portrait mode since it's better for programming and sometimes easier to use it as a 2nd monitor for the Photoshop canvas and have the tools open on the other screen.
I even use the composite video input quite often as input from my DSLR to make focusing easier if I'm near the computer when shooting, or for use with a Wii. =============
thanks for the replies guys.....
well as it is....i live in Israel so not everything is available!!
i tried looking for the HP lp2065 but couldn't find it....
the Dell 2007wfp (although i would really like to get it) is way over my budget since it's sold around the 600$ mark around here =============
