You can scroll down to see some before/after shots in the comments. I haven't tried this myself but from the pics Alyx's new skin seems too-much-airbrush-too-little-personality. The other NPCs shown show a definite improvement.

the biggest problem is that they maid her completly white, which shouldnt be the case since her father is black but her mom was an asian(there is a photo some where in the game dont remember now). so she should have a darker skin, they made her look like a pink shemale yak ><
