I just got a push from Apple wanting to download iTunes + Quicktime 7.6.2.

I kinda like 7.6.19, which is onboard now. Things are running well, I like how the secret album sort on iTunes now applies to my iPod, and generally don't want to upset the balance.

What does this new version do differently? Has anyone experienced a catastrophe?
=============
i haven't experienced anything bad with it yet. when Apple releases new updates for software they don't always have new features, many of them just fix bug issues or add compatibility for new iPods
=============
7.6.1 has a bug where imported music cuts off. So I would upgrade to 7.6.2 to fix that.

No issues with 7.6.2 yet.
=============
No complaints at all with 7.6.2, and it does fix the (intermittent) problem where the last song on a CD gets cut off a few seconds early when ripped.
=============
I loaded quicktime lite along with 7.6.19 as the full QT version gave problems with Vista.

Interested to hear experiences of taking the full 7.6.2 update that iTunes has prompted me to do :confused:
=============
Since downloading 7.6.2, I've been having burn issues with iTunes. Other people have to, but I think we're in the minority. While it normally takes you 4 minutes to burn a CD, it now takes you 15 minutes. Incredibly frustrating.

Is this with Vista ?

I noticed this with Wonderful World from Good Morning Vietnam; I thought it was a fluke, and I just finished ripping 225 Gb of music in ALAC. Did this bug effect every last song on every CD or was it just intermittent? I'd hate to have to go through and re-rip 500 last songs on CDs. Apple, thanks a lot. I assumed that getting into this this late in the game issues like this would have been resolved long ago.

Thanks.

I checked the 8 CDs I had ripped with 7.6.1 and 3 of the last songs were clipped, but your results could be different if it depends on bitrate and the encoder used.

OH..man....

3 out of the 6 discs I ripped last night has got the last track clipped. :mad:
