I just downloaded iTunes 7.6.2, When I open iTunes it says "The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please Reinstall iTunes". My songs import but take ten to fifteen minutes per song (approximately 3 min. song). How can I fix this problem?
Thanks, RATM =============
Your lucky yyou managed to dowload 7.6.2
Every time I respond yes to the new software download and agree to the license agreements, from automatic updates the installation of iTunes and Quicktime starts, after a few minutes a message flashes up on the screen telling me that "iTunes 7.6.2 and Quicktime have an invalid signature, download discontinued searching for new updates":mad:
Is this invalid signature causing anybody else any problems?:confused:
Is this signature a problem to do with my security settings?:confused:
Does anybody have an answer:shake:
Using 5G 30g iPod
Current iTunes is (in folder) - iPod_25.1.2.3.ipsw (same listing for signature).
Current iTunes programme - 7.6.1.9
Skinno
(Will get round to adding more perso info when I get time and eventually stop messing around with my iTunes) =============
RATM: Apple has help:
iTunes for Windows XP: Troubleshooting CD issues caused by device filters (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302976)
iTunes for Windows Vista: Troubleshooting CD issues caused by device filters (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305422)
Skinno:
Delete your downloaded copy of 7.6.2.
Clean up your temporary files (clear out the browser cache, right click on your hard drive and choose Properties, then hit the Disk Clean up button, make sure that you clean out the temp directories.)
Re-download iTunes again.
Install. =============
cjmnews,
Thanks for the advice:cool:
Will give it a try and let you know how I got on:)

Seriously, cjmnews you made my day. I have about 100 borrowed CDs waiting to be ripped and now they won't take me months to do. Really, thank you.

cjmnews,
Back to the drawing board I'm afraid, followed the instructions to the letter removed all traces, cold booted and started download again the same error message popped up before download was complete telling me that iTunes and Quicktime have an invalid signature.
Looks like a lot of trawling through forums and supports, is going to be needed before I can resolve the problem.
I am going to lift all the security, firewalls etc off next time I try downloading, will keep you posted. =============
Are you using by any chance 64bit Windows? There's a specific iTunes version for that. =============
