Hello,
is there a way to do this ?
What I would like to have, is different playlists, sorted by "big genre", depending on my mood. Exemple:
- I'm happy, I'd like to hear rock, hard rock, ...
- I'm sad, I'd like to hear jazz, soft electro jazz, ...
- I'm driving, I'd like road tunes
- etc.
Is there a way please ? =============
Use smart playlists (SP). Use the genre is "XXX" for each type of list. =============
Well iTunes can't read you mood directly (yet!) so you'll have to select the playlists yourself of course.
Why not make a couple of smart playlists that matches what you indicate above?
A "Happy" playlist that picks the genres rock, hard rock
Another "Sad" playlist that pick the jazzy and blues genres etc.
It's just a matter of tagging songs correctly beforehand, the SP's do the rest of the work.
As for playback, I'd use the Party Shuffle.
Just go to Party Shuffle and from the bottom select the appropriate SP as the source. =============
Try using the Comment field in the tag for things like mood, pace of the song, etc. You can then build smart playlists to search Comments for keywords. =============
Thank you all for the replies :) =============
Too bad they don't make Moody (http://www.crayonroom.com/moody.php) for the PC. :) =============
Moody seems nice !
I see a beta is on its way... Gonna try that :) =============
Yeah, I just noticed that a Windows version is in the works. =============
Installed it.
Launched it.
Crashed.
Uninstalled it. =============
