Returned my second iPod to Apple over 3 weeks ago through John Lewis (.......Unhappy iPod sign, again!).
This one was a 60gb Photo, it's the second iPod I've sent back as the first one I bought broke down within 4 weeks and I got a full refund from PC World.
Anyway, I've spoken to John Lewis and they say I am going to get a replacement iPod.
Both iPods were well used, a number of times everyday, and both were full, I have over 60gb of music so I found myself having to swap files back and forth from iPod to computer . I don’t know if the problems were connected, my iPod photo failed on the 11 month mark (..... thank god!), but after all the problems I’ve had with owning an iPod then I've lost all faith in the product and would much rather just have my ?00 back. Preferably to get something that when it throw's a tantrum you don't have to send it back to mummy to get its nappy changed.
Anybody know where I stand legally if I want to refuse the replacement and ask for a refund? =============
It would really come down to what your local laws are regarding refunds. Typically after your initial return policy you are only covered by the warranty which they offer to repair or replace the item for any mechanical defects. Wouldn't hurt to just let them know that you are unhappy with the product and would they consider refunding your money. They may just go ahead and do it without any threat of legal action. =============
