Hey everyone,
This is what happened…..my iPod (30G video) originally froze so I restarted it, it then had an icon (can’t remember exactly) with a bar at the bottom that was loading. Well, it was taking forever to load so I tried to restart it again and……it died. No folder, no sad face, DEAD. I tried plugging it into the computer, outlet, everything but got nothing. It was just over a year old so the warranty had expired. I figured it was the battery, so I sent it into apple to get it replaced. They sent it back about 3 days later saying,
“Your service request specified a battery issue, however, a diagnostic evaluation has determined a hardware failure affecting another component of the ipod, other than the battery. The needed service is excluded from coverage under Out-of-Warranty Battery Service.”
Any suggestions on what it could be or if there is a fix? I did open it up and could not see anything obvious. I did make sure everything was connected properly…….any help would be appreciated. Thanks =============
