i just bought a used ipod for 50$ from school everything is fine but one thing when i tried using my headphones one one bud works is there any way i can fix this or anywhere i can send it to be repaired?

edit: if i put the headphones in about halfway they both work but if i put in full way one dont

This has actually happened to me with almost every pair of headphones I've ever owned. It would be best just to buy new ones because I don't think there's a way to fix it.

Easy to test with another set of earphones or computer speakers.

I own and run a sucessful UK iPod Repair Centre and this is a really common problem with the 5th gen videos, it will almost certainly need a replacement headphone jack assembly which is also part if the hold switch.
You can buy and fit these parts yourself but it is reasonably tough but not impossible, you can also send it away to make life easier.
