Im about to purchase the 8gb nano, and im wondering lets say my ipod dies on me for some reason, do I just take the iPod to the apple store and ask them to fix it if im still under warranty? How would I prove that my ipod is still under warranty, would i need a receipt?
the reason i ask is along time ago i purchase the ipod mini from my mom's friend who worked at apple, i got a discount, but i got no receipt, im planning to purchase the nano from her too, so im wondering i need the receipt for a warranty thing
thanx in advance
also does anyone know what discounts apple employees get?
i think when i purchase my ipod mini which retailed at 249, and i think i got it for 229
im not sure if that number is correct though
thanx in advance =============
I didn't have a receipt for my original 1G nano and I took it down to the Apple store and they just replaced it no questions asked. From what I understand, based on your serial number, Apple knows approximately when your iPod was purchased. Therefore, if you go in and need service they will know when it was sold. The only time you would really need a receipt is if you have a problem and they say that you are no longer in the warranty period when you really were. I have heard people that have had this issue before and they show a receipt and Apple takes care of them. =============
thanx :)
