About a week ago my iPod stopped connecting to my PC. Came up as "Unknown Device". I formatted reinstalled Windows, everything was fine until I enabled USB 2.0, which at that point the iPod disconnects, and goes back to saying Unknown Device. As soon as I disable the Enhanced Host it reconnects. Has anyone else had trouble with this, or knows a solution. Running Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2. iPod is 5.5 gen. Thanks in advance.

Huh? Why do u have to enable anything? Doesn't your machine automatically enables USB at its full speed auto?

I updated mobo drivers etc. Otherwise no its only usb 1.1.

No configuration done at all. The problem I'm having is a fairly common one from my research I've done. All of a sudden the iPod comes up as an Unknown Device. From what I can see there is no definitive answer to fix the problem. Strangely enough it works fine on my brothers computer.

Its the same computer I've been using for a year with no trouble with my iPod, it just started not working a week ago, I made no changes what so ever to anything.
