Using those soft-pry tools that are on ebay and the like, is it possible to open up ipods without harming them at all? I've opened up a 4G and 3G before with a guitar pick and dinged them up a little (nothing their owners wouldn't overlook given a working ipod), but never a mini or nano.
I'm opening up a mini and a nano soon and was curious if there will be ANY signs of me opening the case at all (assuming i do it correctly).
Thanks =============
i used to get replies in the same day when i posted on ipod lounge back in the day. now i go days without a single reply. =============
Personally the pry tools I find are useless. They break and are difficult to use. I have found nothing better than a 0.7mm guitar pick. The nanos and minis are a bit harder. If it is a 1G nano it should be fine with a pick. I have found the tools on ipodjuice.com very good for opening the tops of minis.
The easy way is with a screwdriver and just sliding it in once and only once and just prying the top off. I think you can buy replacement tops and bottoms from eBay..... =============
