Hello, I bought a used 5th gen ipod on ebay and it needed a new screen. So, I bought one from ebay and then I replaced it with the broken one. Now I know it was working when I first got it because the screen was still readable for text and I saw music and a video or two. Now I turn it on and nothing. No unhappy ipod, bad battery, nothing. It's just a blank white screen. The controls only work for certain things. I can't put it to sleep with play/pause I can only put it into disk mode and reset it. Now I've restored the ipod, and it's updated itself. I have the same problem as I did before. It won't show up in iTunes without being in disk mode either.
Now that I've layed down the situation I need your help. Is there a problem with logic board? The hard drive? Anything? =============
Well if u know EXACTLY it was working fine b4r (except screen not readable) then something happened during the swap.
If yer questioning the HD... why? did u disturb the HD's cable?
If yer questioning the board... are u sure it was working EVERYTHING b4r the swap? =============
