:confused: im having the worstpossible problem with my ipod video generation 5. i pluged my ipod in after downloading the new software and all it tells me that my ipod needs to be recovered so plug it in and then restore. i have don this restoring step and it jkust keeps repeatably telling me to restore over and over again . when i plug my ipod in it shows the do not disconent screen but its black and grey on the energy bar and the donot disconnect sign.


ive tried everything and i really do need help . so if anyone knows how to fix this problem i would greatly appreciate it and will repay and help in anyway i can to return the favor.

I seem to be seeing this problem a lot recently on websites. Happened to me a couple of weeks ago and i have done exactly the same as KellyTron but to no avail. Is this some sort of bug or has my ipod died after just 18 months!?

Has anybody heard anything from Apple about this?
