Hi,

Does anyone know how to get itunes onto the iphone? Also my itunes on my computer wont sinc with my partners iphone? and on top of all that... evrytime i try to install something on his phone it goes blank then redirects me to normal screen withall teh icons.... please help!

The iPhone is currently not designed to have anything installed. Once you have jailbroken it, it will allow it through a program called Installer, but no installation is possible.

iTunes cannot run on the iPhone as the coding, architecture, and GUI are completely different. The iPhone does run Mac OS X, but only the base layers, not the actual full operating system.

As such iTunes would never be understood by the iPhone's OS and could never be put on it.

If you could explain what you do when it doesn't sync, we would be happy to help, but we can't assist unless we get that info.

Am I being completely daft in saying that itunes already IS on the iphone...the purple icon? You ned to be in a wi-fi area to be able to use it though.

I'm sure that seems perfectly reasonable but I'm sure someone will point out where I'm going wrong.

no andy and, you are right. I never will understand why people go to great lengths to give extrordinary answers when the solution is obvious. Samanthajay you need to have iphone firmware 1.1.4 to have the iTunes app on the iPhone. So, you should upgrade through iTunes. Also Samaria, what do you mean by installing on the iPhone, I think you may be confused on your terminology.
