I really don't agree with the article... I have noticed immense differences in my health since i added the recommended daily intake of water to my diet. I just feel better all around, not to mention it has done wonders for my skin tone. What are everyone's thoughts on this? How much water do you guys drink on a daily basis? Just curious. :) =============
>>The rest can just drink enough to slake thirst -- and this includes coffee, tea, and even beer -- despite their diuretic effects, Valtin said. <<
coffee?? uummmm, I don't think so. This article is bull. I feel so much better when I drink the 6-8 glasses of water a day that I do, and no, I never drink anything other than tap water, thankyou very much. =============
i recently read an article about drinking too much water.
there were three reports about army enlistees drinking astronomical amounts of water during basic training. one recruit drank something like 12 quarts in a three-hour period and died from swelling of the brain. the body couldn't excrete all the fluid and caused some sort of tissue swelling.
first of all ... no one in their right mind would drink that much water. there are regulations about how much recruits should be drinking and apparently those were not followed.
those three cases were obvious rare.
that yahoo! article is crap. we definitely need those 8 ounces glasses of water a day. i myself drink about a gallon and i feel SO much better because of it.
sure, i pee every hour but i know i'm doing the right thing.
that article is not only wrong but it could end up hurting many people. =============
I love my water and I need it to help flush out all my extra helpings of protien. Water is my friend. =============
