hehe, I didn't mean for this to sound so negative, but hey, we have to learn from our mistakes. I ate *4* times as much icecream at work today. :g Usually I eat 1 small scoop...but then I had another for the hell of it. Later we all make soda's (which have 2 scoops) because none of us had ever had them and it was sort of a group thing. Yuuuuck. Felt reeeeeally gross.
Even though I came home at 10:30pm and had just gotten off a tiring 8 hour shift, I still popped in my moderate aerobic tape and gave it my full energy, even though I already worked out today. I had to...just couldn't handle the pit of sugar and cream in my stomach. :m =============
HA! great thread, dallandra!! :e
(and perfect timing for me ...)
i had way too much pasta last night. i am allowed one cup, but my girlfriend's parents make THE best pasta and sauce in the world so i had a little too much of it.
i wasn't too worried last night because i still had my weight training to do ... but ... i fell asleep on the couch watching babe and didn't wake up until almost 11!! i wasn't about to work out then.
oh well. one day won't kill me ... i hope!!
(but i did just get off the treadmill. i feel good today.) :) =============
if this incident was only a one time thing than what the hecks the big deal? it happened one time, not everyday. how can that hurt you?
restricting yourself from indulgences makes you want to binge eventually.
are you on diets? =============

yes, we are on diets.
i'm on the body for life plan which allows me one free day a week from diet and exercise and last night was not it.
i'm just trying to stick to my plan is all, and i didn't happen to do it last night. =============

I think the whole point of the thread was sorta leaning toward this--saying "Hey look I indulged today, but its not going to throw me off!" =============
I had one and a half donuts this morning.
I also decided to sleep in an extra hour instead of going to the gym. :f
At least I'm off by 6:00 tonight. I'll have time to go to the gym then. =============
eh, it happens. we've all done it.
just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start again.
One (or two) day(s) isn't going to hurt you. Especially if you work out regularly, and ESPECIALLY if you are doing weight training. You have increased your muscle mass, and as a result, your metabolism is higher than it was before you were working out.
Now, if you went on a bad food, no exercise for a week-two weeks binge, THAT would hurt you.
No worries. :) =============

Actually, restricting myself from indulgences makes me eventually no longer enjoy the indulgences (I'm not really a binge eater). yeah, one day won't kill me, but I find that things can snowball reeeeally easily for me. As Rose Bud said, this is about one mess up won't throw me off my be-healthy track. =============
