I have the worst time working out unless i have something to listen to....i am trying to put together a new mix.....Do you guys have any ideas? What do you listen to? I like just about everything. :)

i have a tendency to listen to anything by garbage when i work out...especially "temptation waits" and "special" from the version 2.0 album.

that reminds me....i really do have to hit the gym. i've been eating wayyy too much chocolate lately!!!
=============
ohh, my friend made 3 great dance CDs a long time ago that I use...basically, find remixes of songs you like--they're usually sped up with some phat beats if you get good remixes. Make sure to include fun stuff--I love singing along when I'm working out and shakin my booty so my workout isn't such a drag.
=============
I'm not much for dance music, so I much prefer to listen to rock or 80s pop music while at the gym.

Some artists I like to listen to while at the gym:

The Delphines (ha, but I think Leina and I would be the only ones here to have heard of them...)
Metallica
The B-52's
The Go-Go's
The Bangles
=============
hmm...

Shakira - Objection or Eyes Like Yours
Britney - Boys, Slave 4 U, or I Love Rock n Roll
Tori - Talula (Tornado Mix), Raspberry Swirl, or Riot Poof
Janis Joplin - Me and Bobby McGee, Try (Just a Little Bit Harder), Move Over
The Doors - Love Her Madly, Back Door Man, Roadhouse Blues

As you can tell, I have a weird taste in music. ;)

WOO! great thread, laru!

i mostly listen to something loud and hard ... NIN, ani difranco or this GREAT techno CD i just bought by DJ irene.

i also LOVED working out to the run lola run soundtrack, but someone stole mine! :(

they're all fantastic.

Anaximenes- i also have odd tastes in music for instance on one tape i go from Britney (stronger is a great song to workout to) to The Supremes to Rush to Tori to Live to Dido to Fleetwood Mac and then into cheesy eighties....

Leina- i love Garbage. :)

Cooling Girl- i have to dig out my copy of run lola run, i haven't listened to it in ages

these are all good guys, thanks for the ideas! :)
