Mmm... I take a taste of you. Like ambrosia. =============
advantage low-carb bars! they're yummy! and there's lots of good flavors.
there's no sugar, 19 grams of protein and only 2 carbs.
230 calories and 11 grams of fat. =============
Ok this probably wasn't the answer you were looking for, but these are a fucking godsend when my sweet-tooth just won't quit:
Sillhouette Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches.
They are made with 98% fat-free ice cream, but it doesn't TASTE like it! They taste like normal ice cream! They've only got 130-140 calories each (depending on the flavor) and between 2-2.5g fat each. =============
Yo,
Vell duh, almost all kinds of fruits!
Dried fruits are good too!
Dates - which are kinna high in calories but no fat and goshdern delish!
Me, the Flea =============
dried fruit is my downfall, especially raisons. 2oz constitute a serving, which is around 130 cal, and I eat WAY more than that. So I had to give them up for the most part. I think with sweets it's all about portions. I like one square of Gherredeli's bittersweet chocolate, or one vegan cookie, or just a piece of fruit usually. =============
you people and the dark chocolate! whats wrong with you lol oh wait maybe im confusing it with bakers chocolate. is their a difference?
*couple handfuls of kid cereal (fruit loops, coco puffs)
*junior mints
*welch's fruit juice pops with no sugar
omg these are SO good. grape, raspberry and strawberry they are reeeally flavourlicious. =============

semisweet/bittersweet/unsweetened have less sugar (in that order from most to least) than milk chocolate, which also has milkfat in it of course (although many dark chocolates have milk fat in them like Hershey's). I only eat specific dark chocolates because I'm vegan :) =============
im addicted to blue bunny "health smart" fudgesicles.. (there is a chocolate one and a chocolate and vanilla. yummy! they're nice and creamy and they're also really big! i dont know if you can get them everywhere, however.)
they're fat free and have 60 calories. =============
I eat baby carrots, lots of them. I sneak them into the theatre and nibble on them during the show.
If I want something salty I eat pretzels. =============

YESS!!!
my sis and i try a new flavour each week. last week, it was peppermint---the ice cream was good but the wafers were bland. this week it's mint, with delicious choco wafers.
and i eat one of these very very slowly. mmm... =============

I remember people would ALWAYS talk about these at my Weight Watchers meetings, so I figured I MUST try them for myself!
I so need to find the mint ones!!! *drool* {D =============

I tried the strawberry shortcake ones the other week and they were FABULOUS! They definitely satisfy my sweet tooth.
I also like Philly Swirl cups. They are like italian ices and are 100 calories a cup. Yummy! =============
So far I've only tried the vanilla and the chocolate ones, and have a slight preference for the vanilla over the chocolate. [post17] I want to try the other flavors though! I went grocery shopping yesterday, but knew better than to stay away from the ice cream aisle since I went grocery shopping HUNGRY! =============
We have this great strawberry applesauce in Germany. One serving is 75 calories and no fat.
And my latest sweet tooth satisfier: SMOOTHIES! Blend a banana, half a cup of juice (we have pear juice here -- YUM!), and some frozen raspberries. Mmmmm. Yummy and healthy.
Actually, I love whole-grain corn flakes. They're not that sweet, but I feel like I'm eating something sweet when I have them.
Low-fat fruit yogurt. Mmm. =============
chloe..theres no such thing as 1 or 2 hersheys kisses! how can you eat just ONE! lol
my fave is popcorn. yummy. :)
oh and pickles! mt. olive baby dills have ZERO CALS! :O =============

How's that even possible!!?? :e Is it just so low they call it zero? And I thought that pickles were really high in cal...although maybe it's just the sodium I'm thinking of. =============
the small thin sandwich pickles are high in cals for PICKLES i suppose, like 10 cals for 5 little ones or something...but yeah, the mt olive ones are like, so low in calories it doesnt even count. like one whole pickle is like, .15 cals or something. you can eat the whole jar for about 5 cals. :O maybe less. =============

with weight watchers, dill pickles (not sweet pickles! those *do* have more calories) were a 0-point vegetable which means they are super low in calories. =============
wow, that's awesome. I looooooove pickels. ;) =============
definitely strawberries and bananas.
put strawberries, plain low fat yogurt (or soymilk) and ice in the blender. it will be a thick shake that fills you up for hours. i had one of these at yogurt express and they used strawberries, fat free vanilla frozen yogurt, and ice. the drink was about 20 oz, but after about 10 i was really full. i would use regular yogurt, not frozen, or soy milk for less calories. =============
Which fruits are "better", as in, less carbs/sugar? I read somewhere that apples, berries, citrus fruits are....? I know bananas & melons are high in carbs. I'm trying to eat more fruit and stuff, but I want it to not add up to so many carbs.
Also, thanks for the Skinny Cow suggestion...I got some of those, and they are YUM-MEEEE! =============

watermelon cannot be bad. it's 99% water. =============
Yes, but watermelon is sugar-water. Either way, you're eating fruit and that's better than munching on some potato chips.

Well, I adore avacados, so I still eat them. The fat isn't "bad fat" and they are full of vitamins and good stuff. I might eat one a week, have a small section each day on a sandwich or chopped up over a salad.
I have banana on my cereal. So oh well. Maybe I should switch to berries instead?
I'm trying apples [I'm so lazy, I get those bags of pre-sliced tart ones!] and oranges/tangerines for snacking. I got some strawberries. I didn't think pineapple was bad, so I have some of it now too, but I guess I'll skip it from here on out.
I picked up some of the Advantage low carb snack bars the other day. I'd been a real fan of Clif bars, but was looking for something with less carbs. The Advantage ones have half the carbs, and boy are they yummy. The center is kind of nougaty like a candy bar.
Any other suggestions on "okay" fruits? =============
well, all the fruits i listed are the ones that are high on the glycemic index (i think). they raise your blood sugar a whole lot real fast when you eat them, and then your insulin goes crazy trying to shove the glucose into cells to get it out of your blood, and it ends up storing some of it as fat.
when you eat fruits/other foods with a lower glycemic index, they raise your blood sugar more slowly so your insulin doesn't go crazy and store it into fat right away.
i read in a book that apples, apricots, and pears are low on the glycemic index. i bought some dried apricots (make sure they don't add sugar) and they are quite delicous. =============

no problem. i think this whole type of thing is explained in more detail in any Sugar Busters book. since i'm poor, i keep trying to find it at the library, but some doofus had had it checked out for eons, so i got one called "Cut the Sugar" or something, and it is basically the same thing. =============
if you put it on hold, they won't be able to renew it. :D =============
love you cosma =============
actually i did put it on hold like 2 weeks ago and still i've heard nothing. i don't know what's going on.
but i've lost 2 pounds! =============
