I am considering enlisting the services of Weblinx who are an approved SEO company.

Has anyone had any dealings?

They quoted ?k to potentially get my site listed at no.1 in the search engines.

Does anyone know of any other similiar reputable site?

Well you've been quoted ?k, if your just wanting reviews then search google, if your wanting SEO's to help then SEO's on the forum are going to want more info on what keywords they are to tell you if it's a good deal or not.

weblinx are ok, but i wouldnt say that they do anything thats going to build around your site. they will optimise the pages and provide links to your site to help it get higher in the rankings. if thats all you need, then they are quite good to be honest. however, if you want something more forward thinking and a package thats built around your needs, rather than what they can provide, then maybe not.

So, to summarise:

You want some better positions, choose Weblinx (they are good at this)
You want a strategy and plan for the future, choose a larger SEO agency (much greater cost)

No-one, I repeat, no-one can deliver you no.1 in Google.

Do me a favour, give them your cash and come back when you are at number one for a search that people would actually search for and not just your company name.

Weblinx are an ok company. They have been a long-standing competitor of mine actually, and ARE one of the ones that I would trust.

However, they think 'small time' and could never look after a large SEO client. OK for smaller companies however.

I think potentially is a bit of string,and a carrot.

No1 has 3.5 x the traffic of No 2 and N0 10 has 14 x less than No1 :rolleyes:

Without knowing your site,your keywords,and area of operation can not advise.

Having taken another look at their testimonials I can say that they have achieved a few no.1 positions for various organizations...

However, i'm sure they can't do it for everyone... Would it be better to use PPC?

We never offer a position one guarantee and would like to know who in our company did that.

We do however look at the website prior to Quoute and take only part payment till results are achieved (performance related in a way).

i want to add to this.

whiles at earls court i spoke to a Guy that went to a "larger SEO" company got quoted ?,500.00 for a chat and getting told what to do. then he had to pay someone to do it.

We completed it for him for ?,500.00+vat.

as for how good weblinx is go to topseos.com look at client list and compare to the others.

we are not a greedy company. we are a fair one.

Is there anyone else out there who is currently using Weblinx SEO. i have been using them for several months now and have been very dissapointed with the results. I would be interested to hear from anyone who has experience working with them

believe me i am considering moving. However they are the second SEO firm I have used and neither have provided the results the said they would so I am beginning to wonder how one finds a genuine SEO company. They all seem to make lots of promises but not deliver the results !!! (apologies to any SEO people on here who provide results for their clients)
