Well, basically a couple of years ago, there was a cross-Asian project called "Three", which featured supernatural tales from 3 different countries: Thailand, Korea and China (Hong Kong). It was awesome, to state the least (the Hong Kong one was amazing).

I take it that it was based on the success of the project, that the producers decided to put out some money for "3 Monsters". Basically, this time around, we have short films about psychotic freaks, from Japan, Korea and China (Hong Kong). So farm the trailer only features the Korean one, made by the dude who directed "Old Boy".

The Japanese one will be directed by none other than "Mr. Dead or Alive" himself, Takashi Miike. You think what you saw in the trailer was gruesome... check out "The Audition" and "Ichi the Killer".

The Hong Kong director is Fruit Chan (I know... interesting name). I've never seen anything from this director that's anything close to horror, so I'm going to keep and open mind.
