i always get mushy after drinking....
ok, so have you ever heard a song on radio, cd, tape, whatever, that has caused you to be all teary eyed? And if so what song and why? =============
Extreme, More than words, That song used to make me cry like a big girl whenever it was played as it reminded me of the first love of my life who just took me for granted.
its this part that makes me want to blub.
What would you do if my heart was torn in two
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real
What would you say if I took those words away
Then you couldn't make things new
Just by saying I love you =============
songs that have made me tearyeyed in the past:
the pillows - beautiful morning with you
gladiator (hans zimmer & lisa gerrad) - now we are free
the last samurai (hans zimmer) - to know my enemy
lost in translation (death in vegas) - girl
susumu hirasawa - love song
- beautiful morning with you is one of the most beautiful songs i've heard. in a similar song, "hybrid rainbow" the lead singer sings "CAN YOU FEEL?" on top of his lungs, which instills a feeling of intense emotion. in "beautiful morning with you" the singer uses his immense heart-wrenching vocal abilities to sing about a lost-loved one, that i cannot but help to be moved when he sings:
I want to feel it forever.... just the feeling of being with you
the ending ends with "beautiful morning with you" resonating in your ears.
- hans zimmer's composings are beautiful ;_;
the one in gladiator, i am reminded of maximus returning to his home in his last battle.
the one in the last samurai, the painful expression on notsubato's face when his hair is being cut off.
the tracks are fitted perfectly into the films, where you can feel the pain experienced by the characters.
- i love "girl" it's a wonderful piece, but i also find it very melancholic. it's the way it is sung, and...through it, it invokes a feeling of alienation, sadness and nostalgia.
(this played in the scene where bob is in the cab, looking at the metropolitan skyline of tokyo)
- in "love song", the lyrics are enough to tell about the song:
There's a calling voice colouring the sky in vermilion
The falling rain goes on for miles and miles
There's the voice crying like an angel
Which grows a thousand dreams in the silent night
There are the sons standing like warriors
They kept the sun on their fists and endured the suffering days
"May you have a future ahead"
There's the voice wishing and singing
Which sleeps within the belief
love song blooms as flowers
love song blows as a wind
love song rises as waves
love song cries about people...
susumu hirasawa recently created a project called "against the carnage" compiling two songs to convey his objection to recent wars. =============
I don't know about "teary eyed". How about depressed?
"Cats in the Cradle" is a very depressing song. =============
not me but after we read Othello in my last english class id always imagine him crying while listening to I dont wanna know by mario winans =============

Simon & Garfunkel- The Sound of Silence, Its the beginning where it says 'hello darkness my old friend, I've come to talk to you again' That really does it for me.
Johnny Cash, Hurt =============
Wow, Jimbo, Beck?
That Simon & Garfunkel song depresses me more than makes me teary eyed. It's like listening to the past that I sometimes wish I could do over again. =============
