come on guys dont be shy how much horsepower has your 1hz got and say what year model it is pre turbo and post turbo hp let gets get it started it should be intereseting to see the diiference

Ok I will start this one...... with out turbo she cranked up a wopping 69 hp with 33 bfg muds and finshed with a turbo from denco a new fuel pump a compensator 13 psi and a top mounted ic from dts and finshed with 152 rwhp with 35 claws (MY OLD UTE)

Standard sweet FA but in a diesel its all about torque

before i blew the crankshaft in my turbo 1hz i had 140kw i think thbats around 180hp. the trick is to get the fuel pump properly tuned.

and i am aware i have a tree as a head it was a serious operation :)

my 80 series 1hz with dts turbo and intercooler is running 12psi boost is about the 150kw, wich is bout similar figurs to the 100 series turbo 6 except not as smooth or refined. BUT I LOVE IT>

Can't tell you exact figures but I just towed a 2.4T caravan (sorry, half a house) down the coast. I was really impressed with the torque of our 105. On the way home with a 1.3T caravan I actually overtook someone in a 100 zone.....

I'd love to put her on a dyno and find out though

mine 105 had 50hp at the wheels then with a garret turbo and a safri intercooler it put out 109hp with 12 psi got it tunned at ARB in gympie

Mine must be the worst,
had 49 before turbo and 82 after.
I'm happy, I can overtake with a trailer loaded in seconds NOT MINUTES.... LOL
It used to be to dangerous, and took several attempts to overtake, I even had to get the pretend whip out the window, which got a few laughs.
All good now.

I had 2004 HZJ79 1HZ dyno'd before I did a bunch of work to it, and I'm going to keep dynoing it as work progress. The truck is an ex mine truck, engine has 5000 hours, r151 tranny and transfer are completely worn out, new rear end, new rear drive shaft. The run was on 34 inch 255/75/16 BFG mud terrains.

Dyno at the wheels before turbo was 92HP, after turbo install was 123 hp with moderat fuelling and 8 pounds boost. An increase of 33.7 percent

Torque was 161 ft/lbs before turbo and 222 ft/lbs after turbo for an increase of 37.9 percent.

I have since added an air/air intercooler and now run 15 pounds boost, dyno coming soon before I put the new R151, new transfer case and injection pump in it. The I will build my own Glycol/air intercooler kit - PWR type and dyno it again. ALso added a 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust with aeroturbine muffler and 36 inch SSR's.

Then comes a new engine and another dyno.

The turbo is my own build, the safari/dince/turbo glide all use turbos that are too small for the 4.2l 1HZ, but that was their only option when they started making their kits. I use a precision turbo 32 series that has a journal bearing. Starts boosting at about 16-1800 and tops at about 3000 or something like that.
