Hey, I just fitted a set of Maxxis Bighorns 31x15x10.5 on landcruiser offset to my 98 Hilux. I have a problem cause when i turn on full lock with a little articulation it hits the plastic on the inside of the wheel arch (I think its just missing the flare). Anyway, I was wondering if anyone encountered the same problem, and did they just cut the plastic away inside the wheel arch? I just wanted some opinions before I start hacking away at it. Will a 2" body lift solve this problem and is it worth doing so? Thanks for your help

I just pulled the plastic things off. Problem solvered! :D
I had LC offset rims when I first bought my Lux, but they hit on the front mudflaps at full lock. Do yours not have this problem? =============
Yeh I also had that problem, They were the first things to come off! So if i take the full plastic inner wheel arch thingo off, will that cause any problems for me down the track? ie lack of protection in the wheel arch? Thanks =============
I havent had any problems yet. I don't think the plastic/rubber flaps would do much in the way of protection anyway!
I wasnt about to risk a paintjob obliterated by stone chips. So I sold my LC offset rims and replaced them with IFS offset Sunraysia's. =============
I just pulled those plastic bits off, didnt make too much of a difference. Anyone got any other ideas or do i have to trim the inner guards?
Thanks =============
hammer. or bigger hammer =============

The only real solution is to replace the land cruiser (-27) with the correct offset 15x7 (0 offset) inch IFS rim. No more rubbing. You can even run a 32x11.5x15 on a 15x7 inch rim and still get no rubbing (it is illegal though), but you can do it.

Mine are +7 offset I'm pretty sure. Said Navara offset on the box. Fit well, actually stick out a little. I looked everywhere for 0 offset rims but nowhere seemed to sell them. No worries though, I'm happy with the end result :) =============
i have 31s on my hilux with a landcruiser offset, they rubbed a little at the start but once tread came to about 75% it went away. =============
All good now guys, we had to trim the inner flare a little bit and bend away the bracket that held the inner guard. No worries now! =============
