ok i went out for a drive the the other day and put the 60 through a bit of rough stuff. a day later she is sitting about 4 inches lower on one side than on the other. im assuming i have broken leafs in the spring packs...
my problem is that i dont have any money to go OME, so does anyone know where i could pick up a set of second hand 60 series springs in central or south east qld, i dont care how used they are i just want my cruiser to sit flat until i can afford an upgrade... =============
ebay, on here, trading post, word of mouth.....someone even posted on this site about wrecking 1 =============
GO TO YOUR LOCAL WRECKERS THEY MAY HAVE SOME. IF YOU DONT TRY gOLD cOAST WRECKERS ON 5591 5988. =============
I would price the second hand ones from the wreckers and then talk to your local spring works. Normally you won't break more then one or two of the leaves in the pack, which can be remade and replaced with a new centre bolt relativly cheaply. This way you will be able to only do the one side spring which has failed and keep the same height. Even if it is a little bit more expence at least it is right and your truck won't have a lean. I guess it depends how long you are going to leave those springs in before the upgrade. =============
I've got a set of old ones sitting in the shed, Yours if you want to pay freight from yatala... =============
