Hey all,
Just installed a turbo onto my 2L hilux, and im having trouble turning the fuel screw in.
I cracked the locknut and tried to screw the adjuster in but it looks like there is a sleeve crimped onto the thread to stop it moving. Is this the case, or am i doing it wrong?
Cheers

Mate, that looks like the same screw as mine. The diesel guy (that rebuilt my pump), screwed mine in/out (can't remember which way) 1/4 turn to suit my turbo install and I don't recall any sleeve like you have??? but mine did have a (factory) wired up seal. I'd take it to a diesel shop and ask their opinion. I'm sure they would only charge a few dollars to adjust it for you (5 minutes and a simple turn with the right spanner). =============
yer mate that is the fuel screw in is more out is less =============
Thanks guys, worked it out. Was just being too gentle..
Turned it in 1/3 of a turn which gave EGT of 300 C max post turbo.
Time to turn it up again! =============
this might be a stupid queston but are you refuring to the one that has 'Out' on the head of it? =============

No thats the fuel line. The adjustment bolt with the red niko mark on it is the fuel adjustment. =============
i didnt think it was that big one. =============
