Morning all. Was putting a new aerial into my Lux, and I've got a better CD player sitting here doing nothing so thought I may as well chuck that in at the same time. Now I'm used to taking apart Commodore dashes which are fair dinkum a piece of piss, but I can't seem to find the best/easiest way to pull out the dash in the Hilux.
I've managed to get the section behind and including the glovebox, and also the whole panel beneath the steering wheel, and I thought the middle section would then be easier to remove but alas I was mistaken.
I can't get my hands on a owner's manual at the moment so any tips or hints would be excellent. Cheers in advance.

once the glovebox and lowerdash under steering wheel is out remove the lower panel of the center part of the dash it should just clip in. remove ashtray. where the ash tray slides in theres two screws take them out and the the ashtray slide. pull off heater control knobs and a/c button. next to the clock on drivers side insert flat blade screw driver and carfully prise it away. pull the heater control panel off. the center part now should be able to be poped off by pulling. just check theres no screws, pretty sure there isnt but if its anything ike my ute its missing a heap. think that should just about do it =============
