after my earlier post about fitting rear seats into my fj62, ive been thinking about fitting troopie seats, as that would give more seating.
will it be requiring engineer report, as i think they stoped the seats in the 40 series.
(i have barn doors, dunno if that affects the walls)
cheers
stepto =============
yes it will require engineering, i just changed my cruiser from a 6 seater to a 5 seater ( http://www.4wdmonthly.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=56826 ) . i had to get an engineer to sign off on it and do a mod. plate for in the engine bay, then had to go to qld transport and do the paperwork there for modifications to the vehicle. they then inspect the vehicle themselves, especially because you change the seating of the vehicle, this is something they take a big interest in.
i guess whatever state you live in would make a difference as to how it works aswell. =============
Well, there goes that idea. looks like im gona be buying anoughter 4wd that has the extra row of seats allready.
those 4wd econo-van thingys, any idea how many seats they have? =============
it also depends what state your in when i was in vic i put vn comodore seats in my hq one tonner and all it needed was 50mm square washers under the floor where the new seat holes were =============
