Hi guys:
I got a flat from a nail and I took my KDW2 to a local tire shop. They said they cannot fix the tire because it has "wires" in them and even though the hole from the nail was in the middle of the contact patch, they said I need to buy new tires.
Is this true? Any body with experience having a flat tire with KDW2's?
thanks.:( =============
take it somewhere else and have it patched or plugged. i have a plug in one of my kdw2's and it holds pressure just fine. =============
Laugh hard, then run fast... =============
Yea right, I say you laugh in there face and go somewhere else =============
That is BS! Have a REPUTABLE tire shop do a combination plug/patch (mushroom shape). They hold fine. =============
yeah, find a good place to have it patched, it will work unless it was a BIG nail, and then get some better tires haha. =============
Or steer around the debris! =============

Exactly what I did. Just to confirm, I called TireRack and BF goodrich and they could not believe what they heard. The guy from BF good rich was hysterically laughing. They said any tire could be patched as long as the puncture is not on the sidewall. Went to another tire shop and they fixed it in 10 minutes. Went back to the previous shop and told them that their BS was piled so high and that they just want to scam people. Their response was " uhh...we thought tires like that cannot be fixed..." Where do Just Tires get their training from?
Anyway, Thanks for the reply guys. =============
