so i blew out a side wall on one of my tires. and need to get a new one. the tread on my tires is just under half. is it realy that big of deal to just get a new tire to put on there (same kind of course). i mean it would have the same effect as running one tire low. and that doesnt mess with the AWD. was planning on road trip this weekend and that is looking slim.

If you can't get it shaved I suggest putting the new tire on the front left. Then take whichever remaining tire that has the least tread left and put it on the front right. It will nearly balance out and the longer left hand turns compared to the short right hand turns should put the least wear on your center differential. The front diff is open so having the two "opposing" sized tires wont matter as much as having them mismatched on the rear which should have a VLSD. =============
