If someone says that there is 6-7/32 of tread left on a tire is that still quite a bit of tread? im looking to buy some used 16" tires and thats what he told me.
Thanks =============
Most new tires start with either 10/32 or 11/32 depending on the manufacturer. Most tires give up wet traction at about 3/32 to 4/32 of tread remaining. If you are purchasing the tires for 1/2 price it's probably not a bad deal. You also want to check the DOT to see how old the tires are as well. If they are close to 6 years old I would pass. =============

Buying local? I'd pass on AZ tires that are more than two years old.
Most people don't actually have a tread depth gauge, and it's difficult to accurately measure without one, so shave a 1/16th off the seller's estimate if they can't provide evidence of the depth. =============
yeah its local. the guy wnats to get rid of all 4 of them for 100 bucks. not too bad. he said he drove 23k miles on them. they are yokohama geolander g900s i believe. they came off of his forester. =============
