My old battery wouldn't hold a charge, so I went to my local auto supply store and purchased a brand new one. I connect up the battery only to find that my car wouldn't start. I come to find that my Main fuse was blown. Went through three 100a main fuses and multiple auto supply store trips and every time I'm left with a blown fuse. Can anyone lead me in the right direction? Thanks alot -Dan =============
forgot to add that the fuse would blow as soon as I would connect both terminals to the battery. :( =============
Was the key on? It still shouldn't make a difference. Have you added any audio to the car? =============
Sounds like a short somewhere - check your battery cables, particularily the + cable.
Was everything working normal prior to replacing the old battery ? =============
no, havent added any audio aside from the stock kenwood unit. and everything was fine prior to installing the new batt. =============
bump =============
What batt did you get? Did you knock anything near the fuse box around when you removed/installed the new batt? =============
bought the yellowtop duralast. Its the right batt, and the fusebox was fine. There has to be a short somewhere and I just dont know where. =============
