bad hesitation under hard throttle boost

Position: Home >> CarCare >> Mazda >> Text ¡¡
Hey all, I'm having a very weird problem. I replaced my WGA so thats out of the question.

When i give my car about 1/2 throttle or if im at 3k and i gas more than a tap its like it dosent want to go anywhere. Also i can here air rushing when i do this as well where as i used to hear a spool. When i used to shift i would hear a turkey. and now i just hear the air rushing sound. I replaced the vac lines to bpv and wga BUT i used 5/32nds line instead of 3/16 Checked my pipes it seems to be good. Also, it is not as bad when the car is cold.

Im wondering,

02 sensor - How to check this??
MAF sensor - How to check this??
Vac lines (size)
Cracked Pipe

I would appreciate any sugestions.

are you making your normal boost? sounds like it could be a boost leak

No gauges yet car is still stock.

Im going for millenia pcv, orange Samco Silicone Vacuum Lines, mini krankvents first.

then Din Pocket with Greddy TT/Greddy EBC (going to use it as boost guage) and aem wideband.

then mounts, then bolt ons.

Safety first :D

Only thing i can think of is 5/32nds vac line is smaller than 3/16s and its creating a higher vac then normal causing the bpv to open under boost...? Im not to sure how the whole thing works, is vac increased during shifts or is it more at wot or what?

i had a leak throuth one of the couplers that weasn't tighten up and it still showed full boost so dont go thiking a leak will not get into full boost.. it can.

since you changed your wga, you musta removed thge pipes.. so start with those.. dismatle them and check for cracks,, then make sure you tighten them correctly..

i think you better get a real boost-vac gauge..

it surely wont be as responsive as a real one.. as for precision, im skeptical as well

Why would the boost display function not be as accurate on the greddy EBC? It has got to be able to read boost accuratley to set boost.

From my understanding thats a good EBC, so it should be acurate in displaying boost shouldn't it?

I cant justify spending another 45+ for a guage and 30+ for a pod when the EBC should be just fine. Let me know if im wrong because im still new to FI and its toys. If so please could you explain the reasoning behind why it would not work as good.

-PS i appreciate your help frost, no one else seems to care :(
