I took my MAF out to clean it and noticed on the actual MAF wire there seems to be a black spot. I can't see it in detail very well, but it's about the size of a drop of water. Anyone notice this on their's too, or is mine foobar?

If I recall correctly, when I took my MAF out several weeks ago to clean it, there was a dark "mark" on the MAF wire. Cleaning it did not remove the mark, as it seemed "embedded" in the wire. I found the MAF wire to be remarkedly clean after some 40,000 miles.

Anybody else?

i had some crappy stuff on mine.. just took some TB cleanner and a Q-tip and cleaned it....GENTLY.. put it back in the car and all is a go..
