First I want to ask if you guys know of an Emanage Ultimate user's forum that I can get some more information from.

Secondly - A while back I remember reading about Greddy releasing a software revision to the Ultimate that would add usable knock correction. Has anyone heard anything more about this.

Thirdly - Can the Ultimate be programmed with the Profec E-01 like the older blue can be?

I will be using the Ultimate w\ Innovate LC-1 and Profec E-01 on my hybrid 2.4 setup in my Legacy.

the ultimate rocks. I dont know of a knock correction but there is a new autotune feature that rocks hardcore. You set your desired AFR's throughout the powerband and it tunes to that.

2- Nope, i've heard nothing about any updates to the knock correction system, wish I could afford the new J&S safeguard...
3- if you have the ultimate, you should have no use for the E-01, sell it on the forums or ebay. The wideband, combined with the pressure sensor option for the ultimate, and the cheap GM boost control solenoid should take care of everything through the emanage, although I think they COULD be used together if you realy wanted.

Cool. Ive checked out a few sites and there doesn't seem to be much going on.

How would I set up the GM solenoid on the Ultimate? Is it just a matter of matching voltage outputs to the pressure sensor readings to determine what boost equals what voltage?

The E01 is already on order and has some other features that sounded good but I need to learn a little more about them.

I'm excited about the setup and look forward to seeing how quickly I can get the turbo spooled.

Now to figure out how to convert from MAF to MAP only with the Ultimate. . .

The E01 will not tune the altimate like it did the blue one. I find these ecu's a total heap of crap, with any fermware upgrade come more problems. The support for them in the real world sucks.
If your've got 2001 on then the factory ecu is alot better all round, if you have a pre 2001 car then there are far better options out there.

Its a very cheap ecu and it shows.

RAC - Do you feel that way about the blue or about all of the Emanage models?

I have a 99 and I could find a piggy back that has as many features as the Ultimate. I looked at the Perfect Power SMT6 but it doesn't have injector controllers so idle with my 740cc injectors would be horrible.

I did hear a buzz about the Ecutek being able to reflash my ECU. But that was after I purchased the Ultimate.

Its really crazy that I here these comments about how horrible the Ultimate is but then I hear about people like Tats and Hitoriki's experiences with their higher boosted RS's. They have said nothing but incredible things about the Ultimate.

I would just try it. I've only tuned emanage ultimates on supras and there is a lot of fermware problems with that car. It may work alot better with the subaru.
To me they have just pushed out the emanages to the market to have an "ecu " in the market, not to have a good working well suported ecu in the market.
I find they run very hot compaired to otheres as well.
I've herd better things from the old blue one but i've never tried it.

I like stand alone ecu's, fighting with a factory ecu isn't much fun in my books.
