I heard that ENGINUITY does not allow to datalog 2007 STI's yet. Is this correct.
I got my friend AP cable, and I will download the ENGINUITY software today to do some data log. What else do I need???? How long should it take to datalog?????
I have not faound any instructions on how to datalog for ex. step by step instructions. Any ideas??? =============
You heard wrong. I've seen logs from an 07 sti using Enginuity. It will also log engine load and IAM if your ecu's calid is A2UG000J. Of course, the only cable that is designed to work with open source flashing/reading is the tactrix, but usually the AP cable will work for logging only. =============
Fine, all I want to do is to log. But for me (not compure guy) this seems to be complicated, I do not want to change anything I just want to see the actual boost since my Defi gauge is spiking to 18 in some gears. And chect for any knock.
Where are instructions for loging the ECU?? =============
Download Enginuity 0.4.1b. Install. Run Enginuity. Go to logger -> launch ecu logger. It will try to auto connect. If it does, you'll see a list of parameters. If it doesn't, try changing to a different com port from the drop down box at the top. I know it works with a tactrix cable ( www.tactrix.com ), but I do not know if it works with an AP cable. Probably will, for logging, as long as it is from an AP ver 1 and not ver 2. =============
Should I log from 1st gear to 6th or just gear by gear???
Can I save the logs??
Am I in danger of messing my ECU with just logging? =============
No, you are not going to damage anything by logging.
You have a number of parameters to choose from when logging. The more you choose the longer the interval between the "snapshot" of each value. So the fewer the better. What gear and what to log depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Read the Enginuity FAQ which has some basics on logging. =============
