I am in a position where i am about to buy some engine management. I have an 07 wrx, and looking to go with a stage 2 tune. Catch is, i want to have to option in the future to be able to change maps. I am planning on having ethanol avaliable soon, and would like to also have a tune for that when i am using it. So i want to be able to switch maps from stock to ethanol, to a 93 octane tune. Should i get a reflash from some local dyno shop, or should i get an ap and later get the protune for the ethanol? exhaust is already on the car, so i need to get the tune asap. =============
nobody knows if they can run multi maps on an ecutek tuned ecu =============
not sure if it's possible on the 07's, but on some MY's it's possible to store two diffenert boost maps on ecu's via EcuTeK. yes, only boost MAP can be changed. IMO if you want to get the most out of an ethanol map you need to change more than boost. =============
Pretty much what ^^^ is saying is you are looking at a AccessPort or a UTEC. OpenSource could work too but you'd need the laptop on hand to change maps. =============
