I am trying to do some data login, but I can not find the knock correction on my enginuity table of parameters. I found learned ingnition timing, is the same, also one guy told me that I must set the program for a drive by wire car, how do I do that??
Thanks =============
Subaru removed knock correction parameter from SSM for the 07 sti. EDIT: IIRC, Learned ignition timing is timing advance plus fine correction learning (positive or negative timing correction based on knock or lack there of and stored in a table in ram). Interestingly, Subaru added IAM for the 07 sti through SSM.
I'm going to start updating the logger xml after the next ecu definition release. I'll add support for knock correction for the 07 sti among other updates. =============
So, is the same??? Or does it tell about knock corrections???
Please check my logs and give me some guidance on how to read it.
Thanks for your time =============
It is missing one component of knock correction, which is feedback correction which is immediate timing retard due to knock. This would make sense as feedback correction is not learned, it simply active whenever the knock signal is set. If you want someone to take a look at your logs, go to the Enginuity site where you'll be able to attach them to a post. =============
How or which parameters from the list I have to log? To see any knock correction.

You can't see knock correction for the 07 sti currently. These loggers rely on the Subaru Select Monitor protocol. If Subaru removes the parameter for a particular ecu, you can't log it - it won't show up on the parameter list because they removed it from logging. The value is, however, stored in ram and still used by the ecu and since you can add specific ram addresses to Enginuity logger file, it is possible for it to be added. However this is not something the average user is going to be able to do as it require reverse engineering the rom with an analysis tool like IDA. I plan to add knock correction for the 07 sti in the next logger xml udpate. So, the closest thing you have now is learned ignition timing. =============
Thanks for taking your time!!! it makes sense to me now.
So I or we cannot have an idea of any knock activity right now? =============
You could look at learned ignition timing even though it is missing feedback correction, so it will only be part of the picture. Do a search for Airboy's spreadsheets on the Enginuity site and simply substitute learn ignition timing for knock correction. If are just trying to get a general idea - look at IAM. If it is 1.0, then generally you are doing pretty good as it relates to knock (remember that it resets to an initial value, usually .5 from the factory, after a reset or flash). =============
