Are there any good LC-1 install write ups. I just got mine today as was wondering if anyone had a good DIY write up for installing one on a WRX.
I searched, but there where no real "DIY" write ups.
Thanks,

I 2nd this. I got mine in last week only to realize I'm on my own getting this thing installed as the instructions included didnt do me much good. My car is an 05 STI btw. =============
What's there to say? You need switched 12v power, and ground... There are two analog outputs you may or may not use. There are two other wires and one needs a terminator. =============
Also the guys at the innovate forum are REALLY helpful, I have had a few issues ironed out by klaus and the gang.
Unless you have a specific question it's sort of hard to help you though. :)

I've never messed with wiring before... So I'm sorry for my noobness :(. Like what is a "Switched 12V power source"? I know what 12V is but do they mean some thing that is an actual on/off switch? Also is a lug one of those things that you stick on end of the wire in and it has a "O" at the end of it where you put the bolt through to hold it to the grounding point? Lastly how do you hook up the LED and reset switch? Any pictures would be great.
Thanks,
Again, sorry for my noobness...

A switched power supply is something that has 12v only when the key is turned. I have mine tapped in to my seat heater switch.
I donm't really remember what I did with the switch.. =( Someone else help with that. I did it once.. I followed the supplied instructions and it worked.. I dono! =============
Do you have the XD-16 gauge, or just the LC-1 by itself? If so, how are you going to be monitoring the device.
I will look around an see if I can find info on switch wiring. If you have the XD-16 gauge you don't need the switch, because the display can calibrate the sensor for you. :D

flip to page 4 of the pdf. :)
7. Optionally connect a momentary push-button switch between ground and the BLACK
calibration wire. Please refer to section 2.1.
Note: The use of the calibration wire is not necessary if the LC-1 is connected to Innovate
Motorsports’ XD-1 digital gauge. If the wire is not are not being used, isolate and tape the
wire out of the way.
Basically just run the black wire into one pole on a momentary switch, and the other pole of the switch to a chassis ground. :)
Its pretty simple. The instructions for this are actually really helpful and clear, but if you have any Q's, I will help if I can. I have an LC-1 with an LMA-3 (aux box) installed on my other car. =============

I just have the LC-1 by itself, I'm probably going to get the guage eventually.

I live in the Carlisle area. =============
Yeah that's kind of far... =============
How do you have your 2 grounds setup? The BLUE wire and the WHITE wire specifically. I'm getting the error 8 and I am guessing it may be a ground issue. Just looking for some people that have had success. =============
I hooked mine in to the power mirror switch in the center consle. =============
