I just got this xpt 2.5 map off plasmasite... I opened it up with ECUFlash and it tells me that it's an unknown rom image and to tell it the basic rom definitions... not sure what I should select and where to go from there, couldn't find anything on scoobypedia either... anyone?

place it in the ecuflash\rommetadata directory. Its not going to include table defs to edit with - it is just for flashing.

I believe you received instructions along with that xpt map file. They should tell you what to do. There should also be instructions posted on the plasmatise forums.

Ok so I put the file in that directory, but it doesn't show me the settings, and it says edit map description... so I can flash this to my car? What table definitions do I need?

you don't need table definitions. It is just to flash.

You're making this harder than you need. You need to read. I swore a PDF file came with my order AND the email to where you're suppose to put the .xml in a big warning.

Also, evasive is on vacation and if you would read that on his ordering site, all your problems would have been answered before you even posted.

I didn't want to flash something I wasn't sure was right for my car... A PDF file was included in the download but it does not say anything about the xml file or where to put it simply to flash it and some basic stuff... I paypaled via my sister's paypal since mine was still restricted so I couldn't check the e-mail...

thanks for the info, like I said I didn't want to flash something to my car when ecuflash said it was missing definitions, don't want to mess anything up...

I've also been to the scoobypedia site, don't see anything about the xml files-maybe I wasn't looking hard enough
