I'm talkin about a full top of the line exterior detail and what does that consist of thanks :) the detailers around here arent willing to say until they've seen the car  =============
Thats because the condidtion of the car usually dictates the price as well as what needs to be done, and seeing how its a black OBS I wouldn't give a fixed price untill I saw it as well. Scratch and swirl removal is the PITA with a black ride..... =============

There is a big difference between a wash/claybar/wax and a "full top of the line exterior detail". I do a 'quick & dirty' detail for some people at work. I wash, then buff with a paste cleaner/wax, clean the windows inside & out, give the interior a quick once-over, and put dressing on the tires. It takes me about 3 hours and I ask for a $75 donation. But keep in mind that I'm not trying to make money doing it.
There are a few guys here that detail cars for a living. Maybe they will comment on what their full detail consists of and what their prices are. However, what you are doing is most likely not the equivalent of their full top of the line exterior detail. =============
price range: $35 to $2500.....
seriously, i recently read an article in our local paper about a fine detailer that charges up to $2500 for a car detail job. this job of course is like the best possible. all dash pieces, seats, carpets, int. bits are removed from the car for cleaning under them and also full cleaning of the units itself...the list of things that the detailer does was looooong....and the waiting list is 6-8 weeks....cause it takes about 1-2 full days to do on car...most of the 'cars' lined up are vintage/classic prestige cars
for the exterior, he will basically make the car look new again, but no paint jobs are done, so he cannot fix paints that have been removed/scratched off
fyi, the second most expensive detail shop around charges in the $400-600 area...nowhere close to this guy =============
