My SPT license plate frame has gotten a ton of surface rust spots on it :(

What's a good way to remove those?

Get some NEVR-DULL, it comes in a silver can and you can get it at just about all autoparts stores, as well as Wal-Mart.

steel wool works very well on chrome also... shines right up

Coca-Cola and some foil wrap....works wonders.

What are you supposed to do with coke and tin foil?

You pour the coke on the surface, and rub the rust off with the foil. This works very well with a lot of metals, especially chrome....just remember to not let the coke sit on the surface too long, wipe it away immediately after rubbing with the foil.

Rust on chrome = pitting. The piece probably won't look too nice once you get the rust off. GL though, use the coke and foil method.

3-4 bucks and a can lasts a long time. I use it on my exhaust tips and it shines them up very nicely everytime.
