The summer rims on my 08 are flat black Kazera KZ-As. How would you go about cleaning a flat black rim? Using tire shine? I like to make it shine a little but not too much. =============
If you want them to clean them, wash them and use a wheel wax pending the surface of the wheel if it is super smooth.
If you want some shine, scuff them up with a fine grit sandpaper and spray some glossy clear on them. =============
I think that it would look sick! =============
hate the shiney black look...looks very tacky imo =============
If you want some shine, spray some satin clear on it. Its kinda in between gloss and flat. AS far as washing, just use regular car wash and water. And dont use tire shine. That will attract and hold dirt and grime like a magnet. =============
Consider semi-gloss black.

my flat black is very smooth and soft to the touch. I was thinking about using armor all original shine on that. I used to own gloss black wheels and they sucked really (18" Rota SubZeros). =============
Flat black is flat black, if you want them to shine you need to clearcoat them. Putting any type of dressing on them will attract tons of dirt, not to mention make them look terrible. =============
Oh stealthy. Pressure washer! =============
flat black simply called flat black because they do not shine lol =============
yeah. But im afraid they will fade. Never had flat black before. someone mentioned just using a spray detailer and a cloth to clean it. =============
I think wheel soap and water will do just fine, and they will dry like they were meant to. =============
last time I used wheel soap, I discolored my jeep's rims. I'm scared to use it again. =============
